Martia Holloway aka Talkin Tia is a teacher content creator
 turned social media activist fighting to give teachers a voice and to reform the public education system.

 

   Talkin Tia decided in 2023 that she would be a voice for the voiceless by speaking publicly about what teachers really deal with and the reality of America’s public education system. She has over 150K followers on social media. Tia also does her daily segment called, “Holloway Slay of The Day” where she showcases professional and affordable teacher outfits. As Tia would say, “Eat the girls up.”  Tia was sponsored by Citi Trends and Temu in 2024 to purchase and showcase their clothes and amazing prices.

 

   Talkin Tia graduated from Johnson C. Smith University in 2010 as a first-generation college graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts. Tia has always had a dream of being a news reporter and spent her youth letting her friends know they would hear her voice one day. In 2016 she graduated from Concordia University- Portland with a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with a minor as a Reading Specialist.

 

   Talkin Tia has taught; elementary, middle and high school English Language Arts/English for over nine years. Her experience has been in public, charter and private schools. “ Her favorite grades thus far, have been teaching 11/12th Grade English, she found great joy in watching students become adults and start their lives. “​
